Course delivery, live cohorts and creator payouts inside one platform, on web and mobile.
What made it hard.
Most learners stop early. A live cohort session with thousands of concurrent participants is an infrastructure problem rather than a video problem, and creators need to be paid accurately.
Live at scale
A session with thousands of concurrent learners is an infrastructure problem, not a video problem.
Assessment integrity
Marking has to be fast, consistent and hard to game across large cohorts.
Many stakeholders
Students, teachers, parents and administrators each need a different view of the same data.
What we shipped.
Course authoring and delivery, scheduled live cohorts with attendance and recordings, progress tracking, and creator pricing and payouts.
How it holds up.
The funnel from enrolment to completion was instrumented first, then designed against the drop-off points that showed up in the data.
The systemLive sessions and course delivery are separate services so a spike in one cannot degrade the other. Payout calculations are derived from immutable event records rather than mutable balances.
